Why we so cute though?

I'm so excited about this layout! Not only do I love the way it turned out but, also it's about my little sister and I's time in Florida for Labor Day weekend. I used a  Scraptastic Kit from my stash to complete a sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.
Here are a few close ups of the layout
I love the contrast between the blueish/ gray background paper and the pink ink that I used to edge everything. I hope I don't come off conceited because of the title. My sister took this picture of us and when she looked at it her exact words were "Why we so cute though?" I instantly wrote down that for a title idea and couldn't wait to scrapbook this picture of us.
Thanks for viewing and please stop back later this week for more layouts from my trip to Florida.

Thanks a latte cards

This week I had some time to play around on my Silhouette Cameo and I made these "Thanks a latte" cards for my current team members at work. Things are crazy at work due to construction and due to limited space our teams have been divided up. I will be on one of the two outpatient teams heading to the main hospital in order to preserve space at my current clinic. I well be getting a new speech and physical therapist partner. So to say thanks to my current partners I made these cards and will pick up small gift cards from Starbucks. Thanks for looking!

Me at 31

It's been years since I've had the opportunity to scrapbook. But lately I've been very inspired to get back into scrapbooking. Friday I spent the day at the Scrapbook Expo in Duluth, GA. Also it's been way too hot here in Atlanta to go out and do much, so I've been binge watching scrapbooking videos on YouTube. And of course all the wonderful scrapbookers on IG have been inspiring me lately. Saturday evening I made the time to use one of my many kits from Scraptastic's Kit Club to do Sketch 446 from Scrapbook Challenges.  I believe the kit is April's Road and Rivers. The picture is from a recent evening out with coworkers to celebrate a fellow OT's upcoming wedding.  Not only did I challenge myself to use the sketch but I challenged myself to add as much dimension to my page and embellishments as possible. I often feel that my layouts are flat and plain looking. I used pink ink to ink the label to the left of the photo, several pattern papers to mat the photo, and layered the two stickers in the lower left corner of the photo. I recently did my bedroom in magenta and gold, so of course those gold alphabet layers stood out to me. I truly enjoyed my evening making this page and it made me miss scrapbooking. A new goal for me is to crop at least once a week. Maybe I'll finally learn to use that Silhouette Cameo sitting in the box:) Thanks for looking!

My very first blog hop sketc, blog, and sketch in over a year

Today was the first time I scrapbooked in over a year. I like to think I haven’t had time to scrapbook since I started the occupational therapy program but in reality I just haven’t made the time. A couple of my New Year’s resolutions are to :
1.      Scrapbook once a week in my own home even if its just an hour
2.      Attend a crop one Friday night a month at my locally owned scrapbooking store
3.      To organize my materials better
4.      Work on using some of the 1000s pieces of paper I already own.

So needless to say I attended my first crop in over a year yesterday. I figured why not start with the hop blog sketch posted on (http://scrapbookchallenges.ning.com) and designed by the amazing Pamela. Pamela’s blog can be viewed at http://www.pamelasworldofscrap.blogspot.com/ . I highly recommend checking it out as there are some great prizes!. I’ve been a fan of Pamela’s work ever since I started scrapbooking many years ago. I also checked out the other design team member’s blog through http://scrapbookchallenges.ning.com/forum/topics/seasons-of-change-hop-on. Here is the sketch
